P1AR instructor directing a live hoist evolution

Training Overview

Day One to Mission-Ready in 14 Days

A structured pipeline that takes ab-initio crew members from the classroom to proficiency through a single, proven methodology.

Classroom theory. Hoist Procedural Tower. EASA-certified AAMS simulator. Live flight integration. Our full-spectrum training modalities help solidify proficiency and readiness. Every graduate meets the same standard—regardless of platform, service branch, or country.

Training Modalities

Four Modalities. One Standard.

Every P1AR training program follows a crawl-walk-run progression that builds competence and muscle memory. This is not a lecture series followed by quick tips. It is a structured, evaluated pipeline designed to produce consistent outcomes.

Phase 01

Classroom

Ground school covering mission theory, aerodynamics, equipment systems, emergency procedures, crew resource management, and regulatory standards. Written knowledge evaluations gate progression.

Phase 02

Hoist Procedural Tower

Students move to the HPT—a reconfigurable training structure that replicates cabin geometry for 20+ helicopter types. Actual Goodrich and Breeze-Eastern hoists. Hands on the real equipment, feet off the ground, to introduce the physical aspects of training.

Phase 03

AAMS Simulator

The Advanced Aircrew Mission Simulator ("AAMS") reproduces full-fidelity hoist operations with accurate cable physics—spins, pendulums, oscillations, entanglements. EASA-certified. Reduces live flight requirements from 12 to 2 hours (an 80% reduction).

Phase 04

Live Flight

Final integration in the aircraft. By this point students have hundreds of repetitions behind them. Live flight validates prior training and theory. Scenario-based evaluations confirm mission-ready status.

The AAMS Advantage

20+ Platforms. Real Avionics. EASA-Certified.

The Advanced Aircrew Mission Simulator (AAMS) is the highest fidelity aircrew trainer of its kind. It is an EASA-certified training device that reproduces the physics of hoist operations with enough fidelity that regulators accept simulator hours in place of live flight hours.

The AAMS is reconfigurable to over 20 different aircraft types and cabin configurations. Cable physics models accurately reproduce spins, pendulums, oscillations, and entanglement with emergency shear capability. The aerial gunnery module meets NABK ballistic standards across the M240, M134, GAU-17, and HK417/SR25 weapon systems.
